The great thing about high school basketball is that everybody has a chance to win the state championship because everybody makes the playoffs. Unfortunately we got put in a regional with Seneca. But we'll come out Thursday and try to perform better than we did tonight.

Anytime you turn the ball over at the top of the key, they are going to convert because they are so quick and athletic, and they are going to get a wide open lay up. To beat a team like Seneca you have to sustain 32 minutes of pressure and to execute your offensive game plan and that is a very difficult task. Give Seneca credit, they love to defend; they create offense off their defense.

It was definitely a back-and-forth game, numerous lead changes. Alex Jensen, being my best player, had the ball in his hands all the time, he makes it easy for us to create and score. People might say he didn't dominate today, but 13 points, eight assists and seven rebounds -- that's almost a triple-double. Will Brown struggled early, and then came back and had a big game.

This gives us a nice weekend, coming off three straight wins and a consolation championship against your biggest rival, on our own floor, in front of our own fans.

Coal City played really hard, and when you shoot that well from the line, you're going to win a lot of ball games. We had to start taking chances when we got so far behind, but it was just too late.

(Jensen and Brown) did everything I asked them to do tonight; they represented Plano High School very well.

We would like to come out and really play aggressive and not wait until the last quarter to make a run. It's always a frantic run. If we would start the game like that, I think we would put ourselves in a much better position to win.

We came off with three straight wins, a consolation championship on our home court, in front of our fans and against our biggest rival. The kids get to have a real nice weekend.
